Frequently asked questions
What's the difference between DroidNote and Fathom?
Fathom records with a bot (bot-free capture is still in beta on Mac) and processes in the cloud. DroidNote records from the computer's audio on Windows, with no bot, and transcribes locally.
Does it work with Zoom, Google Meet and Teams?
Yes. DroidNote records your computer's audio, so it works with any call app without joining the meeting.
Do I need a powerful computer?
On first launch, DroidNote checks your PC and recommends the AI model that fits. It needs about 6 GB free. On simpler PCs you can use the OpenAI API with your own key.
